Two years post graduate experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred. Clinical teaching and/or supervisory experience will be considered a beneficial asset to this position. Must have excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain and use ordinary veterinary medical hospital equipment, working knowledge of operating room sterile techniques, a standard knowledge of emergency procedures and the ability to perform word processing and data entry will be expected.

Prefer high school graduate or equivalent with vocational training in refrigeration and air conditioning. Prefer knowledge of laws, regulations, occupational hazards and standard practices as required by OSHA and EPA as well as materials related to building and mechanical trades. Valid driver's license and EPA refrigerant recovery certificate with a universal rating, needed upon employment. Completion of Class I asbestos worker training and medical certification for respirator using during the probationary period. Physical exertion-considerable.

Two years supervisory experience in industrial/commercial maintenance and four years of hands-on experience in two skilled areas of plumbing, HVAC, electrical or building system operation. Also prefer knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance tasks and the ability to apply problem solving techniques in resolving construction/mechanical problems. Valid Drivers License needed upon employment.
